海外フットサルチーム紹介

University of Neuchâtel (Swiss)ヌーシャテル大学(スイス)

How would you describe your team?

Our team, FC Unine, was first founded 2012 with the help of a friend. We founded this club with having “social club” kind of concept in our mind. We know that it’s never easy coming to a new city or country without knowing anyone, which is one of the reasons why we made this club. As long as you respect everybody and believe in fair play, everyone can join; this is our concept of our “social club”.
Our men’s futsal team’s got 10 players, the women’s team’s got around 15, and finally, our football team’s got 20-25 players.
On top of being undefeated in the fifth league, our team also won the fair play award!

What does your training routine look like?

We train football two times plus one match per week. The futsal teams don’t train regularly during season, but we have four trainings prior to the University Swiss Futsal Championship.
As any team, during training we love playing practice matches. Something not as enjoyable is of course training for building stamina, though since it’s so important, we do include it. After all, even though it’s tough, it’s vital to strengthen and improve your endurance, as it can be a make-or-break when you have to sprint in the last minute of a match to score a goal, or to come back and defend for the team!
Of course, practice matches improve your understanding of the game, tactical positioning and more importantly your desire to win.

What about tournaments and matches?

We went all the way to the final at the Swiss Futsal University Championship in 2013, however ended up second place. Though, because of that, we also qualified for the European University Futsal Championship in Malaga, Spain. Although we ended last, it was an incredible experience and I’m very proud to have represented my university as an official, but also coach and player, at an international tournament.

Additional information

The club also wishes to have a women’s team in the near future, as it’s important for us to promote women’s football. Additionally, we’d like to play against a lot of different teams so that we can gain a lot of different and great experiences.
If we could play against a Japanese team we would be more than happy. We’re a multicultural team so we believe strongly in variety!
We wish your team plenty of success and congratulate you for promoting futsal and football in Japan. I send my best sporting regards to you and hopefully we can organize a match between our teams someday!
